In-game Coupon Fun – Wargaming Fraud Style

This story comes to us via email from the other side of the big pond. (That’s the EU to you European readers…so yeah…it came from you.)

Now, there have been several threads over here on the NA server about how to use in-game coupons and do they really work and things along that line. Most are met with the usual trolls attacking the poster for being stupid, not knowing how to use a coupon, and other Wargaming yes man bullshit.

Well, folks, there may be more to this whole coupon thing than meets the eye.

This particular player from Croatia had an in-game coupon for the Skorpion G for 20% off. So, he figured he’d order since that put it in his price range.

So he did. He ordered it. He used the coupon. Now here comes the funny part: In the game screen transaction, it showed that he got the discount.

So he gets his Paypal bill a few days later and notices that they charged him full price for it. He immediately sends in a ticket:

Now, first off, that a company shows you one thing and then charges you another is classified as textbook fraud. I mean seriously, the math is supposed to be all done at the same time so that, quite literally, what you see is what you fucking get.

Not with Wargaming though. I mean, who REALLY looks at their statements and dissects them to make sure they weren’t overcharged for every item they purchase?

Folks, you need to.

So these fucking morons (also known as customer service) send this back to him:

What a fucking joke. What are they, two years old? Who words that shit?

So a couple days go by and he gets this (he did not contact them again at this point, he had simply waited to hear from them):

OK…first things first:

Terrance Sweetwater?!?! IN FUCKING EUROPE?!?!

I went to high school with a dude named Terrance Sweetwater. He was a black dude that stood 6 foot 7 and played power forward on the basketball team.

OK, as full of shit as that looks on its face, lets soldier on.

Notice that he doesn’t offer a refund at all, but only gold.

THAT IS FUCKING ILLEGAL YOU PRICK!!!

YOU STOLE HIS MONEY. YOU OWE HIM MONEY.

Now, if that was me, I would have immediately alerted Paypal, my credit card company, and started a fraud report against them for that bullshit.

Turns out though that Wargaming got lucky. The guy they were dealing with is a shitload more forgiving than I am. He was pretty much Kool & the Gang with it:

He brings up a very, very good point:

The reason Wargaming does shit like this is to INTENTIONALLY bilk their customers out of every single dime they can.

“OH, we fucked up? We’re sorry! Have some in game gold that cost us nothing while we keep your fucking hard earned money.”

That is exactly what they’re doing, folks. And yet another auto-bot, we-don’t-give-a-fuck Parthian shot, they leave him with this:

In other words: We just fucked you over, stole your money, and we don’t give a shit. Now fuck off.

So folks, the next time you see another thread on in-game coupons, remember this article. This is no accident. They are doing this shit INTENTIONALLY to make extra money.

With this coupon scam, Wargaming have gone beyond inept to full-blown, outright fraud.

Check your statements carefully, folks. You have been warned.

No words… I swear WarGaming’s Customer Support gets worse and worse by the day. It’s the ultimate display of “We really don’t give a shit about you”.

By the way, want to cover WG Asia’s fuckup? (Not the Chinese server, but the one actually run by WarGaming)

It simply defies logic. How these people are still in business can only be put down to the fact that what’s left of their player base is either brain dead or just so addicted that they need professional help.

    Or both.

You know, that whole Asia thing has been a cluster fuck since day one. That whole arrangement and everybody involved in it is fucking off. Always has been. Always will be.

It just make’s your mouth hang open. In complete awe, your brain’s wheels just spin with racing thought’s of “How, Why, Chicken, the Egg, the anomaly, the accident, how to did it come to be? etc” ” And why does the train wreck just keep happening?” 🙁

Mind boggling every way they Wargaming operates this way? It’s unreal.

  5. Thing 1

It’s possible, I’m almost positive Claus is French Canadian though.

The only thing that makes me not regret the money I spent on this game now, is the good times I had with the folks here. It’s a damn shame.

@PrinzEugene85 I don’t regret the money I spent on the game. If it was for WG’s fuck ups this site would not exist. You have to think it in a zen like manner otherwise certain situations are going to eat you up.
Also Claus is French Canadian. At least that is what I was lead to believe that he is.

    Claus is from central Alberta
